baby-1405883_1280Are the Yankees trying to gain the youth vote? It almost seems like it with this season’s trades and acquisitions.  They got rid of Andrew Miller, Aroldis Chapman, Carlos Beltran, and Alex Rodriguez this year, and are looking to fill those spots with rookies and young players like Gary Sanchez and Aaron Judge.

Ultimately, 2016 was a disappointing year for the Yankees, having finished Fourth in the AL East.

Derek Jeter told NJ.com  that “I think it happens to every team at some point,” Jeter said. “We had a long run there. We had a lot of the same guys together for an extended period of time. It doesn’t really happen too often. So I think it happens to every team at some point. But the young guys — it seems like they’ve made a smooth transition. I know there are some big expectations for them.”
